The 7 Deadliest Ingredients to Keep Your Pets Away From

We spoke with Dr. Judy Morgan, a holistic veterinarian and author of numerous natural alternative books and cook books for pets. We asked Dr. Judy what the most harmful ingredients for pets are and here's what she had to say.
Carrageenan in canned food - highly inflammatory
Meat and bone meal - from rendered animals, may have high levels of heavy metals and euthanasia solution
Unspecified meat or meat by-products - can be from any animal, including euthanized zoo animals, horses, and road kill
Preservatives like BHA, BHT, propylene glycol, glyceryl monostearate, and ethoxyquin- known carcinogens
Animal digest - from rendered animals (which can be anything, including 4D meat, zoo animals, road kill, etc), made from enzymatic or chemical hydrolysis of rendered animals and animal parts
Sugar, dextrose, maltose, high fructose corn syrup - sugars are not good for pet health
Dyes - carcinogenic, add no value other than making the product more pleasing to the owner
Check your pet's food labels to see if any of these ingredients are on the list. If so, change immediately. Dr. Judy would recommend making their food or a more natural pre-made alternative.
What do you feed your pets? If you've ever changed your pet's food, did you notice a difference in them?
