Sitting Comfortably Pet Care, LLC

Hiring Locations: Overland Park, City-wide Floater, South Roeland Park
Responsibilities ( Pet Sitter ):
- Responsible for client’s pets, their healthcare and well-being
- Management of client’s needs and preferences
- Provision for food and water for all pets (e.g. scoop litter box/cage cleaning (if applicable); potty breaks (if servicing dogs), Cuddles and TLC, etc.)
- Pet Sitters for Midday Visits typically serve a variety of clients
- Completing Service Calendars and electronic Sitter Report Cards
- Basic home care maintenance, including alternating lights and blinds, bringing in mail, taking out the trash, home security checks, etc.
- Work may be available mornings, afternoons and evenings (from 8am and 8pm) seven days per week. Extra Special visits may be required (i.e. before 8am or after 8pm)
- Generous commission for recruiting new clients
Responsibilities ( Dog Walker ):
- Responsible for client’s pets, their healthcare and well-being
- Management of client’s needs and preferences
- Walk dogs one at a time (or in a group, per Client's preference)
- Dog Walkers typically serve a regular roster of clients each week who all live in the same neighborhoods
- Completing Service Calendars and electronic Sitter Report Cards
- Basic home care maintenance, including alternating lights and blinds, bringing in mail, taking out the trash, home security checks, etc.
- Work may be available mornings, afternoons and evenings (from 8am and 8pm) seven days per week. Extra Special visits may be required (i.e. before 8am or after 8pm)
- Generous commission for recruiting new clients
Responsibilities ( Private Boarder ):
- Boarding client's pets IN YOUR HOME (one family per service period)
- Responsible for client’s pets, their healthcare and well-being
- Management of client’s needs and preferences
- Provide comfortable accommodations for pets 12 to 24 hours a day (until completion of visit) in YOUR home; provision for food and water for all pets; potty breaks and at least one walk each day (if servicing dogs); LOTS of Cuddles and TLC
- Private Boarders typically serve a regular roster of clients whenever they travel or work varying hours
- Pet pick-up and Drop-off are required
- Completing Service Calendars and electronic Sitter Report Cards
- Basic home care maintenance, including alternating lights and blinds, bringing in mail, taking out the trash, home security checks, etc.
- Work may be available mornings, afternoons and evenings (from 8am and 8pm) seven days per week. Extra Special visits may be required (i.e. before 8am or after 8pm)

Responsibilities ( Pet Sitter - Overnight Visit ):
- Responsible for client’s pets, their healthcare and well-being
- Management of client’s needs and preferences
- Stay overnight in client's home; provision for food and water for all pets (evening and morning meals); scoop litter box/cage cleaning (if applicable); potty breaks and at least one dog walk (if servicing dogs); LOTS of Cuddles and TLC;
- Pet Sitters for Overnight Visits typically serve a regular roster of clients whenever they travel

Responsibilities ( Scoop Assistants ):
- Management of client’s needs and preferences
- Responsible for scooping poop in client’s front and/or back yard; proper disposal of waste per company standards
- Scoop Assistants typically serve a variety of clients on specific days of the week, depending on the service day for that area of town
General Responsibilities / Requirements:
- MUST truly love animals!!!! (e.g. dogs of all sizes, cats, birds, ferrets, small caged animals, etc.)
- MUST be able to self-manage
- MUST be a person of excellent character and integrity
- MUST pass an extensive background check; MUST also have a Clean Driving Record
- MUST complete the American Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR Course
- MUST be reliable, responsive, timely!!
- MUST have a current driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of current registration and insurance
- Daily access to a computer, with Internet
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Cold/Snow/Humidity/Rain Resilient
- MUST provide 1 Personal, 1 Business/University and 1 Local Pet Sitting letter of recommendation
- Must be available every day, including weekends
Please note, although we prefer you to be available every day, your Sitter schedule may not require you to work every day. Should you be invited to join our team, your Sitter Schedule can be worked around your current schedule (i.e. classes, etc.)
Due to the nature of Pet Sitting and the bonding that occurs between the Pet Sitter and pets, we require at least a 6 month commitment with Sitting Comfortably Pet Care on a continual basis. This does not mean you have to say “yes” to every job we alert you to, but it does mean you would like to commit to working with our company on an ongoing basis for at least six months.
